North Carolina Standards Alignment
North Carolina currently has legislation in progress to make Personal Finance a graduation requirement for all high school students. The proposed class is based on the Personal Finance national standards published by the Council on Economic Education, which you can find below. Besides the stand-alone Personal Finance standards, North Carolina also has Economics concepts integrated into its Civics and History standards, as well as standards for various business disciplines integrated into its CTE standards. For the activities that align with the Economics, Business, and Accounting standards, please refer to our National Standards alignment.
